Les especes du genre Chromovalgus Kolbe, 1897, sont caracterisees par le pygidium des femelles sans tariere, par l'absence de poils ecailleux a l'extremite du pygidium des males, par les tibias anterieurs avec 5 dents au bord externe, dont la premiere apicale et la troisieme sont plus grandes, et enfin par le clypeus conique et tronque droit au sommet.
Ce genre est represente par une seule espece au Levant: Chromovalgus peyroni Mulsant and Wachanru, 1852 (Valgus)

Chromovalgus Kolbe, 1897, is characterized by the pygidium of the females without drill, by the absence of scaly hairs at the end of pygidium of the males, by the protibiae with 5 teeth on the external edge, of which the apical one and 3rd are larger, and finally by the clypeus conical and truncated right to the top.
Only one species is currently recorded in Levant: Chromovalgus peyroni Mulsant and Wachanru, 1852 (Valgus)
